Many of us have that one special someone in our lives that helps drive us forward. It doesn’t need to be a spouse or partner. It could be a parent, a sibling… a friend. They are the one person that will help you pick up the pieces when your world comes crashing down around you. For me, that one person is my husband.
We knew each other for six years before we got married, only two of those years were we dating. We’ve helped each other through some nasty break-ups and supported each other through our respective careers. 16 years of marriage hasn’t been easy, but we’re still going strong. We’ve grown together.
I was scrolling through my Facebook feed on the weekend and discovered something awesome about my husband. He has begun uploading videos of his guitar music to YouTube.
My husband has played guitar since he was a child. He uses it as a form of stress relief, playing every night before he goes to bed. He’ll sit out in the garden on a nice fine evening. He’ll play in the lounge after the kids have gone to bed. He’ll pluck at the strings in the bedroom while I’m watching TV. Of all the noises that my family makes, my husband’s guitar playing is one that I will never grow tired of. But I had no idea that he had begun recording video’s of his music, so when I discovered that he had uploaded one to YouTube, I just had to share it with the world.
Here’s hoping he uploads more and soon.
P.S. I’d love to meet you on Twitter or Facebook.
