Pre-order Hidden Traps by Judy L Mohr

It’s a milestone, but still a long way to go.

I’m so giddy with excitement that I’m struggling to contain it. I know I should, but I can’t. I want to shout it out to the world.

Hidden Traps is now available for pre-sale.

So far, it’s listed on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and iBooks. Hopefully soon, it will also be listed on Book Depository, Fishpond, and many other places that I can’t remember the name of. It really has been mind-blowing to know how far and wide the distribution network has been cast.

It’s a massive milestone to get to this point — countless hours of hard work and very little sleep — but as much as I want to, I can’t rest. Now the really hard work begins: marketing.

Legacy Subscription will be Turned Off

Due to recent changed in JetPack and the Legacy WordPress Subscriptions, conflicts have arisen with my mailing list on Mailchimp and the optin forms that I use. As such, I will no longer be supporting the legacy subscriptions on my blog.

If you received this message with the branded header (complete with a little signature from me), then you are already on the new system, and all is good. If you got a message from WordPress, then you will need to sign up for the Mailchimp mailing list, or this will be the last email that you will receive.

Those on the Mailchimp mailing list get notified when a new episode of Conversations in Science has aired, the occasional special link to exclusive content, as well as the blog posts that you have come to know and love.

However, recent changes to JetPack (the plugin that controls the WordPress subscription features) has meant that JetPack is now interfering with MailChimp.

These changes are very recent (as in my site saw the updates to JetPack on the April 5th). I had thought that I would be able to keep the notification JetPack features for legacy reasons, but nope…

NaNoWriMo Aftermath and Moving…

My regular readers will know that I’ve been taking part in the NaNoWriMo challenge for the month of November. Well, today is the 30th of November where I am and I have news… nanowrimo_2016_webbanner_winnerNot only have I successfully completed the NaNoWriMo challenge of writing at least 50,000 words in one month, but I have also met my own personal challenge — to write the first draft of my new novel in its entirety. Well, sort of. I have a complete story. I have a beginning, lots of middle and an end. I know all the twists and turns. I know who dies when and who lives until the very end. I have a full story. But there are large chunks — whole scenes — still missing, simply because I was unable to see the full sequence of destruction. But I still view it as a win, simply because I know this manuscript will need to be totally rewritten and now I can do that. (I hope.)Read More
